Lists of Writing Jobs' offers.

It's a great day, isn't it? Anyway, like any other day, I've spent it looking for a job!

I've looked for writing jobs everywhere, I've been so into it that it took me a while to notice that there is two kind of jobs online:

The free ones: 
Success slow, there is no garantee that you will get a gig or paid soon. I recommend for people who don't have much experience and want to learn from others, not for people who needs to get a living out of it. Even if you make it big ! The freelance websites get over 20% commission of your job, So, I think that it is not free after all.

What I don't like about the "free" parts is that they give small gig to the free appliers and better and more pay to the premium and "expert" Freelancers, I find it unfair somehow. Why would it be free if I'm not going to get the best of it?


To conclude:
+ Free charges for the signing up to the membership (unless you want to go to premium)
+ You got to choose your gig and go for it.
+ Up to 100$ if you are lucky enough to find a job accepting newbies, which means 90~80$ for you

- The premium get better jobs, and get paid more. (so it is not free, if you take it from this light)
- The jobs are kind of limited (I noticed so) compared to the gigs for the "expert" Freelancers.
- You get up to 20% of your pay taken.

The paid ones:

Ok, why would you pay for a job? Well because you pay them for finding you a gig, for offering you tools to ease the job for you, for the free courses on how to be better freelancer and how to satisfy your costumers, and some even offer you a money back garantee if you didn't like their services.

BONUS! You get 100% of your pay, they take no commissions for any job you take; You applied for 100$ job, you will get 100$. I think it's a good deal.

However! Some Website ask for Monthly pay for their services, like Writing-Job.com and legitwritingjobs.com - which I recommend if you don't mind the monthly pay compared to how much you earn because I've found no bad reviews of them. At all! 

To conclude
+ They teach you to be an expert, 
+ The courses are free
+ The gigs are up to 150$ for writing Jobs (it is like they offer you the premium membership directly)
+ Unlimited source of jobs, they look for the demands, and you make the offer.
+ If you don't like their services within the first 60 days, you get your money back (for legitwritingjobs)

- Monthly pay.
- Not enough reviews about the websites online. I think because they are relatively new.

Just to point it out:

Like Writing-jobs, there is photography-jobs which offer the photographers or any amateur of photography the exact thing as a Freelance writer.

But to make sure, I'm not saying: go for the paying websites, and leave the free ones. I say try what you can try, and don't let yourself be held back.


Also, a man told me that the best thing in live have a price, so maybe that is why I think it is more stable to go for the paying services. Yet, we won't have the same thought about, will we?

Top 5 Mistakes most the writers make!

Every writer dreams to have a flowing imaginations like waves in a calm ocean. Yet, we are far from it. We make mistakes and we keep doing them all over! 

Five most common mistakes will be listed not to critic a writing mind but to shake a little doubt, and push fellow writers on focusing more.

1- Thinking that such lists will make you figure out where you messed up.

Thinking that you will find your mistakes between the mistakes listed in a blog or an article won't truly help you out. In fact, it's a denial to your individuality. I don't mess up with Their, There, They're, but I have a bunch of other mistakes to handle. I may my own grammatical mistakes, my own spelling mistakes. I'm me, and nobody else.

And so you are!

You are a human, before anything else, so you have your set of mistakes, that makes you different than your relative and family's members. Get a beta reader, someone who u can trust with your drafts and let him or her tell you where you messed up. List the mistakes, you will find your set of mistakes, and you will learn to fix them.


2. Expecting Perfection from the first Chapter of the first Draft. 

Now, I ... I don't know what to tell you. Nah, just kidding.

We say that mistakes are the tools you have to use in order to polish your talents.

The deal is : It can be true, there isn't a single person in the whole world who didn't make a mistake somewhere, somehow, so everybody tasted the same bitterness. You can't be an exception, unless you aren't a human being.

Personally, this was my biggest mistake and I depressed because of how many flaws I could find in my first draft. I depressed and I got many author's blocks. I kept getting those blocks day after day, story after story. I have a story I started back in 2008 and I'm not giving up on. I don't want to give up on my first drafts, and one day I'll "polish" the draft itself in order to come up with a perfect story.

You should do the same. Don't try to be perfect, just write, and once you finish, step back and observe it. Fix it slowly, and once you finish, I'm sure the result will worth every thing you did so far.

3- Not getting a set of Beta readers.

To get a beta reader is good, but to get a lot of them is even better. It will be perfect if you knew those beta readers, if not you will have to publish your work somewhere.

However, if you are like me and have less trust in people, just don't abuse your beta reader and be kind to the poor soul; one story at the time. ;)

Why did I say get more than one beta reader? Well, every reader have a different perception of what you write, so gathering their opinions will allow you to see if you managed to pull off the emotions the way you wanted to, if they got the plot exactly as you want it to be understood.

4- Procrastinating when it comes to proofread.

When people told me about this, in my beginnings, ten years ago, all I would say was : Guilty as charged :p

I used to do that, and I know many who does! It's a big mistake. If you don't proofread the last update you made in your book before adding more, you will have more to proofread, to edit, and to even rewrite. So take it slow. You wrote 2000 words? Proofread them, check if they made sense, check the spelling and the grammar, and then make sure you at least did that three times before sending it to your beta reader.

Make sure to tell your beta reader that you did actually proofread, and ask them if the text still lacked something or if there is something you could truly get rid of.

It should be your habit.

5- Not writing your next chapter or scene down when you think of it.

It happens, and we keep doing it. Sometimes, I get ideas in the most random and unfortunate moments, but my biggest mistake is to not note that down somewhere once I can, because I got caught in something else or because I am too tired to do that. Well, I used to.


Do you the same? Then you are making the wrong move! The first fresh idea you get is way better than the shattered memories of it, isn't it? So once you get an idea, note it down, wherever you can (I wrote a whole story idea in a napkin). If you can't write then record it in your phone in audio.

Many do it, actually. They record their ideas in audio, I know it is weird, but you will get used to it with time. In fact the audio is the best way to keep your ideas in track. Why? because you hear your thoughts as you got them, and sometimes, without meaning it, you give tone to your characters.

For example: if you speak about a character being mad, you will definitely speak in a frenetic way, or at least mumble part of the dialogue in an angry tone, so in the end, whoever heard the audio will think of the anger the character felt first, the way you felt it in the beginning. Is the idea clear now? Good, because there is another list of mistakes I can't list them here.

We all know that we can't stop being writers, and most of us want to make a living with it. Well, let me point out that it is possible even if your book didn't hit the shelves.

HOW TO MAKE MONEY AND BE A WRITER AS WELL?

I'll be honest, and staightforward, internet is living through such beautiful art, everything is written, even the videos in Youtube need a script! "Writing"  is everywhere yet, we barely make it as writers. Isn't it hard? Yeah, but we can still work it out, no? I won't promise you millions of dollars, but something to gather a small amount of money from.

1. Paid per UPLOAD platforms. 

We all write small things and share them online, either in Facebook or any community, but what if you put the story you write in a uploading website that pays you for every 1000 download, up to 10$ If you put 1000 files in there and share your links everywhere, won't you be able to like get over 100$ if you manage to ?
I know, it is not easy, I didn't say it was! Work your way to it! Share as many stories of yours as possible, use that in order to share them with your friends. You share them anyway, admit it, so put that money possibility in use.
Now, the most trusted one -I checked them for you, and this one is 100% safe -  is Filecdn. There is another alternative : upload.it, but it didn't work for me, but tell me if it was good for you.

2. Get paid for writing gigs: 

Fiverr is the biggest platform but not the only one!
Honestly, there are big chances if you try to make the same gig in different plate-forms. So, try to get through such websites. -Google : Fiverr best alternative. - You can get up to 300$ per gig with the extra.

3. Affiliate Marketing! 

In Clickbanc, there is the option to promote books, and the commissions are quite reachable. You will be able to test the publishing field without truly investing your own product. It's someone else book, all you have to do to is to share and observe how people react to it. Was it hard, was it easy?
Hey, nothing in life is easy. If it wasn't true, most of us would have ended their books years ago, and got a living out of it without a hassle.


4. Freelance career. 

The hardest job in the whole planet. Why? Well, because the concurrence is quite high in the writing field - as much as in any other field. In fact, you have more chances get paid for a gig than for a freelance job. Add to it, you have to build the career before truly gaining from it.

Freelance require patience, hardwork, and perseverance, but once you get the hang of it, you will end up with a proper source of income. You can get up to 300$ per job, up to 1000$ if you are lucky. I've seen job offers with such pays but they ask for experts freelancers. Isn't it great to be able to get jobs with such high pay?

5- Blogging:

Holding a blog is somehow the easiest for writers, compared to the previous options. It is a good promoting way, either you share your links or you promote a book, or by using Google adsense and promoting it top 10 keywords. A blog is always a good idea.

In fact, it will build you a great portfolio and will be helpful if you offer helping hands to your fellow writers, or if you want to use it in your freelance career. Dear fellow writer, if you don't have a blog, you should probably think about it. Blogger and Wordpress are good platforms, but you are free to use the platform that you trust the most.

BONUS : PPC (paid per click) websites is your last alternative.

There are websites that pays you well, not like they said 200$ per day, but at least per month, if you manage to get as much surveys, ads, and offers as possible. I honestly think that the US and UK people get better chances to raise up to 20$ per day if they work it out.

In addition, nobody can stop you from signing up for over ten websites, and it takes up to 1 hour to see all the ads. It takes time to gather the goal money you want but it have a result definitely. Unfortunately for me, I live in a country where there is no offer and no survey so I'm living on ads, which is why I got in most of them: Clicksense , Paidverts, clixten, Ojooo.
